Episode 3

Total Maana: 550-850 (includes 240m for the golden shears and 12m for the Eskimo pie) With the release of New Era, this episode is always Free (100 maana needed to activate a replay) You might need 240m for the golden shears and 12m for the Eskimo pie.

Items required: Eskimo pie [Shops > Companions > Food] 12m, [Shops > Companions > Bait] Golden Shears 240m (will be used during the episode).  10-60 Companion Energy.  You may have to send it out more than once; I suggest waiting to send them on explorations when you get them.
Items received: Free: Incubator (will be used for the episode). Common Companion Egg [Take the Test], 5 rations of companion food of the kind your companion eats.

Once again, the LOM won’t change during this episode, no matter which choices you make. Feel free to pick any answers you like. 

The guard you end up in will only affect the Ranking game dynamics; some clothes, items and companions you can get are determined by it. It has no effect on the LOM or most dialogues (there are some differences here and there, once in a blue moon).

This episode unlocks:

1. The companion (mid-episode)
2. The minigames and explorations, once you unlock the companion.
3. The explorations, once you unlock the companion
4. The guard, guard outfit, and the forum section for your guard (once you find out  which one you’re assigned to)

Objective: Find the boys to meet them before answering Keroshane’s questionnaire. Careful, don’t let yourself be influenced

You will have to wander around to unlock 3 dialogues, one per head of the guard. I suggest you to head towards the library and stay around that area. If you are lucky you will only need 50 maana. When you are done, go to the Library, where the test will take place.

Objective: Go to Kero’s room to complete the Companion Questionnaire

When you are done, you will have to wait for Kero outside his room [Hall of Guards], while he gets the test to determine your companion.

The game will guide you through the objectives:

• Go to the “My Eggs” page on the “Companion” tab to hatch your Companion.
• Go to the “Companion” page to feed it.

Please note:

• if you already have a hatched egg you won’t get the egg
• [14/04/21] if you already have a hatched egg the game might get stuck, contact support or, if you’d rather not, put your companion in the egg and hatch them  (or a different egg) again
• [14/04/21] You can hatch any egg you want to proceed, it doesn’t have to be the one you get.
• Make sure to pick a name you like for your companion! “naming” it doesn’t work for other companions, and possibly for the one you get from kero, at the moment, but if it gets fixed and sets its name it will be 100 mo to change the name again.

This choice determines which person will help you out with your mission in the second half of the episode: 

• (Escape as quickly as possible.) (0) Valkyon
• (Wait for Kero to come back.) (0) Ezarel
• (Pace around.) (0) Nevra

After a brief conversation, Kero will come back and the test will start. If you don’t like the result, don’t worry, you can always win/buy/find another companion, including the other 2 options. If you plan to hunt for them all, pick the sabali here; its bait can only be bought at the shop.  You can find the test [here]

Kero will also give you 5 rations of food for your pet, and an incubator. You won’t be able to continue until you hatch the egg, in 15 minutes (or the incubation time of the companion you chose). Just follow the tutorial; each incubator can only be used once.

… doesn’t change anything.

Objective: Go talk with the boys!

You will find them in the H.Q.; the location is random (the Hall has the best chance). When you’re done, you will meet Kero, with Mery.

♦Objective:  Find Kero to obtain more information about Companions

Kero is just outside the H.Q, at the market. Buy an Eskimo pie at the shop (12 maana) to continue.

Objective: Find how to go to the exterior plains and search for the Companion

Head towards the exit of the HQ (in the opposite direction of Hall of Doors), you will meet Valkyon, Ezarel and Nevra in this order. The one that you met in the corridors will help you and you won’t meet the remaining ones. So let’s say, Ezarel saw you in the corridors, you’ll meet Valkyon and he won’t help, but not Nevra.

Again, the following dialogue at the burrow doesn’t affect the LOM, it only change a sentence or two in episode 4.

Valkyon

Objective: Find Kero to tell him the “bad news”

You will find him at the Refuge. Buy the Golden shears for 240 maana at the shop, then talk to Kero again♦ (It’s important! If you don’t have the shears and you didn’t talk to Kero, the companion won’t drop! You need the “Catch a cryslam and bring it to Mery” objective first.) The shears can also be found during the H.Q. exploration.

Send the Companion to explore any of the available areas (it doesn’t matter which one). You may have to try more than once but you should be done after 1-3 attempts.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Key Item, not a companion egg. To get it you have to get the bait, talk to Kero, then send the companion in exploration. You will understand it’s the right catch because the tutorial will start. If everything worked correctly, you will find it here (it’s the inventory, only in russian XD):

Once you got the Cryslam go to > [Central Pavilion] > [Path of the Arches] and talk to Mery, which will unlock the illustration.

You will receive a crystal shard.

On the way back, at the [Central Pavilion], you will find the person who helped you.

The dialogue will only marginally affect the events of this episode and the next one, and won’t change the LOM. I’ve always chosen to show the crystal, for a better reaction.
