UPDATE 13/04/2021: With the re-release of Eldarya you will go through this nightmare again. Fear not, if you pick your guard in A New Era, doing this test, even for the first time, shouldn’t change your guard (still testing). On the other side, if you end up in the wrong guard, once you do the second episode of A New Era you will be able to pick the one you like, getting to that point in ANE will take roughly 800 maana/antique coins, 400 if you play before May 9th.

UPDATE 24/04/2021: Despite Beemoov saying they’re fixing it, the test is still unreliable. 

Please note: THIS TEST IS HIGHLY UNRELIABLE; none of the tests you can find online are reliable at the moment, no  matter where you look. Giving the right answers will NOT guarantee that you’ll get in the guard you want. It has been said on the forums that this is how it works and it’s not going to change anytime soon.

To quote the forum:

The test is an indicator to help lead you to the guard of your choice solely based on if there is a place available.
If a guard is not balanced, you will automatically be assigned to it.

(Regarding this question, unfortunately, since the test’s answers are not reliable, it’s impossible to be certain which is which and absynthe and shadow are easy to mix up. This is the result I got from 10 different guides, this one included.)

1. A redcap 50% 50% (no comment -_-) <- Favored Shadow
2. A ship-wrecker 40% 10% 50% <- Favored absynthe
3. A blemmyes  90% 10%

I’m sorry, understanding who is right is impossible with the selection criteria being like this.
